Terry Briggs was previously with Newmont Corporation, where he most recently served as Vice President Planning, accountable for business and strategic planning for a global portfolio of 12 operations, two operating joint ventures and a series of global projects and exploration projects. In his time at Newmont, he held various leadership roles in technical services, corporate development and finance.

He brings extensive international experience gained over almost 25 years, spanning site-based technical and management roles at several underground and open pit, base and precious metal operations at all stages of development from startup to closure, this experience is complemented by regional and corporate leadership roles. Mr. Briggs has a strong focus on project management and strategic decision making, leading to proven success through strong cross-functional collaboration and engagement.

Mr. Briggs is also well represented on various geology and mining industry bodies and has a host of publications on engineering, geology and exploration. He has also helped develop global technical standards, led due diligence and integration activities for key acquisitions and divestments, and more recently championed transformational work to improve planning processes.
