In 2023, we achieved a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering an even more inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace. Through extensive collaboration, we developed a global Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) strategy, and finalised three-year action plans with each Business Unit to guide our path toward more equitable people experiences and processes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are promoting a safer and more inclusive culture for everyone by emphasising education, fostering empathy, and raising awareness.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Last year, with a focus on Australia, we intensified efforts by establishing the Safe and Respectful Behaviours Taskforce and aligning with industry commitments. We reinforced this commitment through implementing the Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Standard, Don’t Cross the Line<\/em><\/a> , Carelines, and Whistleblowing services now called Speak-Up. Employee Resource Groups like the Women’s Network and Pride Ally network actively enable a more inclusive culture for all our people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on the Don’t Cross the Line initiative that was launched in July 2022, AngloGold Ashanti engages in proactive efforts to heighten awareness and enhance safety in the workplace. We remain committed to a zero-tolerance stance on sexual harassment, cultivating a globally supportive respectful and inclusive work environment. In 2023, we directed endeavors towards the 16 Days of Activism and The Women of AGA campaign, both dedicated to fostering awareness, improving our collective knowledge, and demonstrating support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023 we also launched our Women of AGA<\/em> campaign, a celebration of the multitude of women that form part of our global operations. For the campaign, women share their stories and hopes for a workplace with enhanced diversity, equity and inclusion. Inspired by the 2023 Women\u2019s Day theme, \u201cEmbrace Equity\u201d and guided by our values of respect, integrity, and collaboration, we encourage everyone to embrace a shared vision to create an inclusive culture where we are all respected, valued, and supported.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AngloGold Ashanti will continue to move forward with its work to address gender equity across its workforce and ensure an inclusive culture. We are working together across our business units and operations to custom design initiatives that drive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
