Alan is a\nmember of the Business Policy Panel of the\nInstitute of Chartered Accountants of\nScotland and a member of the leadership\nteam of the UK Audit Committee Chair&#8217;s\nIndependent Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-teal-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-teal-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skills and attributes which support strategy and long-term success<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As a chartered accountant and an ex-CFO of\nthree FTSE-listed companies, Alan is highly\nexperienced in a range of finance roles, with\nover a decade of experience leading audit\ncommittees. He has extensive experience in a\nnumber of sectors including mining and has\ndeep financial, corporate governance and\nbusiness experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-teal-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-teal-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Current external appointments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Independent Non-executive Director of Harbour Energy plc (LSE: HBR)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-teal-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-teal-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-small-font-size is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-f66f9956 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>On 25 September 2023, the Group completed a corporate restructuring whereby its operations were reorganised under a new parent company, AngloGold Ashanti plc incorporated in England and Wales and tax resident in the UK, with a primary listing of its ordinary shares on the NYSE. Upon completion of the corporate restructuring, AngloGold Ashanti plc became the successor issuer to AngloGold Ashanti Limited and all members of the AngloGold Ashanti Limited Board of Directors became members of the AngloGold Ashanti plc Board of Directors. Appointment and tenure is shown from the date the director joined the AngloGold Ashanti Limited Board.
