programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance in 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We appreciate our role as a responsible\ncorporate entity and remain committed to\ntransparency and active stakeholder\nengagement. Our Speak-up programme is\naligned with international norms and standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speak-up channels are available globally, are\nadministered by an independent third party,\nNAVEX, and can be accessed via hotlines and\nweb facilities to enable employees and\ncommunities to confidentially report issues\nrelated to legal non-compliance, fraud, bribery\nand corruption, human rights infringements,\nsafety, and environmental matters. Reporters can\nchoose to remain anonymous when reporting an\nincident, during the course of the investigation\nand after the investigation is finalised.\nConfidentiality protects reporters from retaliation\nand is integral to the Speak-up and investigation\nprocess. We prohibit and do not tolerate any form\nof retaliation against anyone who speaks up or\nagainst anyone participating in a Speak-up\ninvestigation. Anyone involved in retaliation\nagainst someone who has spoken up or is\nparticipating in a Speak-up investigation may be\nsubject to disciplinary action, which could lead to\ndismissal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work continued on our refined Speak-up\nprogramme in 2025. We have transitioned to a\nnew Speak-up platform \u2014 EthicsPoint (NAVEX) \u2014\nand introduced new 24\/7 Speak-up channels via\ntelephone, desktop, mobile, and QR codes for\nquick and easy access. These channels also\nsupport a multitude of local languages. This\naligns with our ongoing efforts to augment\norganisational practices, enhance channels to\nreport misconduct, and improve case\nmanagement, investigation and feedback\ncapabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, 507 reports were received, an increase from 2024 when 234 reports were received. The increase is largely attributable to the successful integration of our operation in Egypt into our Speak-up programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2d622105a2fe79247da3ab38eff7895f\">Conflicts of interest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Code of Ethics, Business Integrity Policy and\nConflicts of Interest Group Standard emphasise\nthe importance of avoiding situations where the\ninterests of AngloGold Ashanti conflict, or may be\nperceived to conflict, with employees\u2019 personal\ninterests or those of their family or friends, or\nwhere such situations could impair objective and\neffective performance of their duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To avoid and manage potential conflicts of\ninterest, we have put in place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mandatory disclosure of any actual or\nperceived conflicts of interest using the\nonline conflicts of interest register. This\nregister is available to our employees and\nsuppliers, and is reviewed and managed by\nmanagement. The training focuses on compliance policies, standards and\nprocedures to manage and mitigate the risk of bribery and corruption. It covers our values, our Code and key compliance\nstandards on anti-bribery and anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, third parties and intermediaries, and\nSpeak-up<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-glassmorphic wp-container-content-72923486 is-layout-flex wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized is-style-glassmorphic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/reports.anglogoldashanti.com\/25\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/icon-video-training.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4387\" style=\"width:100px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-831b2db5 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">The global rollout of a dedicated training video in all relevant languages to bolster our training of employees without access to\ncomputers, and to ensure that everyone receives the same high-quality training<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Formal compliance newsletters, global briefs and guidance were released Group-wide focusing on different compliance aspects\nincluding anti-corruption, Speak-up, conflicts of interest, political activities and other compliance policies, standards and\nprocedures. All our\noperations were assessed for risks related to\nbribery and corruption in 2025. Group\nCompliance assesses, manages and mitigates\ncorruption risks. It also participates and conducts\ncombined assurance audits of alignment with our\nanti-corruption related policies across all\noperations. Such audits are conducted on an\nannual basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6a498bf0249a3b9fd0fa4b73185dd22e\">Government relations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We operate in an evolving government and\nregulatory environment. The tariffs imposed by\nthe USA on many countries around the world had\nmaterial impact in the countries where we\noperate and subsequently our communities.\nAllegations of human rights abuse, electoral\nirregularities, suppression of opposition parties,\nand police intimidation following the elections in\nTanzania, has impacted the perception of\ndemocracy in Tanzania. The political transition in\nGuinea progressed during the year, with a\nsuccessful referendum in September, the election\nof Mamadi Doumbouya as President, and the\nre-appointment of Bouna Sylla as
