Our\nmanaged operations are in Egypt, Ghana, Guinea\nand Tanzania. In the DRC, Kibali is managed by\nBarrick, our joint venture partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-teal-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-8e4bbb0c0de8f5a4c0cb31cd4e5b0723 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Greenfield exploration is currently underway in Egypt and Tanzania with brownfield exploration being conducted at all our African operations. We continuously monitor\nimprovements in the fundamental drivers at\neach site such as mining volumes,\nrecoveries and development rates, which, if\nenhanced, will boost production and should\nimprove has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-53ddbd74a7c7a879855ab3416c3c2128\">Geita<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold production rose 2% year-on-year to\n492,000oz in 2025 (2024: 483,000oz). The\nlift in production was mainly driven by a 8%\nimprovement in head grade to 3.26 g\/t,\nreflecting increased tonnes and higher-grade\nore from the Nyamulilima Cut 2 open cut\nmine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The improved grade more than offset a 1% drop in metallurgical recovery and a 4% decrease in tonnes treated due to several periods of limited operation, for unplanned maintenance and during periods of post-election incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> increased by 5% to $1,038\/oz ($984\/oz in 2024), mainly due to higher direct operating costs, including higher contracting costs and additional expenditure on fleet and processing plant maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geita\u2019s transition to Tanzania\u2019s national\nelectricity grid, TANESCO, which is ~45%\nsupplied by renewable energy sources, was\nstabilised during the year. By year end, grid\navailability was at 90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FAP projects during the year included the\nsuccessful introduction of tele-remote\nbogging from surface during shift changes\nto improve mining productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the second half of 2025, the Company\nallocated an additional $15m a year for\nexploration at Geita over a three-year period,\ntargeting growth in the Mineral Reserve to\nincrease mine life from the current level of\nseven years to more than 10 years at gold\nproduction rates of approximately\n500,000oz per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A conceptual study on expansion of the processing plant indicated gold production could be lifted to approximately 600,000oz a year for at least a decade while optimising mining rates in the underground mines and the open pit. A detailed feasibility study was initiated in Q4 2025 and is expected to be completed by 2027. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposed expansion has been\nunderpinned by additions to the Mineral\nReserve from the Nyamulilima open cut and\nNyankanga underground mines, along with\nthe availability of significant lower stockpiles\ngenerated by the site\u2019s grade streaming\nstrategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geita\u2019s net VAT receivable closing balance\nat 31 December 2025 was $171m\n(2024: $163m), up from the prior year mainly\ndue to new claims submitted. The offsetting\nof verified VAT claims against corporate tax\npayments partially alleviated this, with $95m\nof verified VAT claims being offset against\nthe corporate tax liability in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9da5233b3f4e0b28723b5a4f53deed42\">Siguiri<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold production increased year-on-year to 289,000oz in 2025 (2024: 273,000oz) at a total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> of $1,783\/oz (2024: $1,703\/oz) despite a 43-day plant stoppage in the second half to address seepage on a section of the south wall of the TSF due to significant rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 6% increase in production reflected a\nsignificant improvement in metallurgical\nrecovery from 85% in 2024 to 91% in 2025\ndue to plant efficiency improvements\nincluding carbon management, oxygen\ninjection and automated sampling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 5% increase in total cash cost per ounce<sup>APM<\/sup> was mainly due to higher plant maintenance costs to complete maintenance during the 43-day plant shutdown and higher royalties, partially offset by higher gold production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A strategic asset review delivered optimised\npit sequencing and staging, which along with\na focus on drill and blast activities,\ncontributed to an increase in mining\nvolumes, with mining largely taking place in\nthe Siraya pit in Block 2 and the Kami and\nKosise pits in Block 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The processing plant treated 10.8Mt in 2025,\n3% down on 2024 throughput due to the\nprocessing stoppage from mid-August to\nthe end of September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Processing was halted to suspend\ndeposition of tailings while seepage on a\nsection of the south wall of the TSF was\naddressed following significant rainfall. A\nproject to buttress the perimeter of the TSF\nwas making good progress at year end.\nWhile remediation work was being carried\nout, tailings were deposited in the mined-out\nSilikoro pit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AngloGold Ashanti\u2019s FAP methodology was\napplied to collaborative work with the\ncommunity on a long-term Social Economic\nDevelopment Plan to strengthen the site\u2019s\nsocial licence to operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initiatives included literacy training,\nconstruction of a ring road, the roll out of\nAngloGold Ashanti\u2019s successful malaria\nprogramme, mobile health care and\nscholarship programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b3b475be558fdeaffdaec267aab32aa7\">Iduapriem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold production dropped by 16% to\n199,000oz in 2025 from 237,000oz in 2024\ndue to an unplanned 17-day plant shutdown\nin Q1 2025, a reduction in recovered grades\nand power supply interruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plant was shut down and tailings deposition suspended while a tear in the lining of the Beposo TSF was investigated and repaired. Recovered grades were lower in 2025 following depletion of the higher-grade Cut 2B and Block 5 pits in 2024. This was partially offset by the contribution of higher-grade ore in the second half when the Block 7\/8 Cut 1 pit came on stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Input from a strategic asset review\naddressed staging of the open pits and\nlifting mining volumes, which had improved\nand stabilised by year end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TSF-related plant shutdown and power\ninterruptions reduced processing plant\nthroughput for the year by 5% to 5.1Mt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 16% drop in gold production impacted\nthe total cash costAPM which increased by\n33% to $1,482\/oz in 2025 compared with\n$1,118\/oz in 2024. Costs were also\nimpacted by increased expenditure on the\nBeposo TSF, higher mining contractor and\nmaintenance costs and higher production\ntaxes and royalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3cec9caa09bd677615115ff4c4e0c097\">Obuasi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold production increased significantly to\n266,000oz in 2025 (2024: 221,000oz) in line\nwith the ramp up plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hybrid mining approach, combining\nunderhand drift and fill methods for higher\ngrade areas in the mine with conventional\nsub-level open stoping, was successfully\nembedded, with higher underground ore\ntonnes mined in 2025 at higher milled\ngrades due to lower dilution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stoping performance improved following an\nFAP project that introduced a second Epiroc\nEaser-L. This additional machine accelerated\nslot opening and increased the total number\nof active stopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other FAP mining projects include\nconstruction of an underground workshop to\nreduce the need to tram equipment to\nsurface, the introduction of tele-remote\nloading from surface during shift changes\nand new ventilation raises to open up new\nmining fronts for development.\nCommissioning of material handling\ninfrastructure as part of the Kwesi Mensa\nShaft refurbishment will be completed in the\nsecond half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Processing plant recoveries improved by 3%\nyear-on-year to 89%, supported by the\ninstallation of a second flash cell and\nprocessing of higher-grade ore. Tonnes\ntreated was slightly up and the average mill\nhead grade was 13% higher in 2025 relative\nto the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> increased by 9% to $1,325\/oz (2024: $1,214\/oz) due to increased contractor costs, elevated consultant and maintenance expenditure and higher labour costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d8578112348895672768ec138c92f7c0\">Sukari<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its first full year under AngloGold Ashanti ownership, Sukari produced 500,000oz at a total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> of $783\/oz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operation exceeded plan with improved\nore production from the underground mine\nand improved open pit volumes and grades.\nThe processing plant treated 12.18Mt of\nore at a head grade of 1.37g\/t and a\nrecovery of 89%, all in line with, or slightly\nbetter than, plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FAP initiatives at the site during the year\nfocused on rationalising and upgrading the\nmining fleet, introducing larger truck trays underground, shortening open pit waste\nhaulage and optimising grade control. Waste\nstripping in the open pit was prioritised in\n2025 to set up mining areas in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The integration of Sukari has been\nsuccessfully completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> was positively impacted by the higher processed grade and higher gold production. Operational cost improvements included the impact of newly implemented contracting strategies and lower ammonium nitrate prices, both of which reduced direct mining costs. Further efficiencies were achieved through operational optimisation and productivity improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-30cf93a9e43d4a3bc7447717e6d5f4a9\">Kibali<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attributable production was 303,000oz at a total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> of $1,148\/oz in 2025 compared to 309,000oz at a total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> of $935\/oz in 2024. The 2% decrease in gold production reflected a 2% drop in tonnes treated and a lower head grade of 2.79g\/t compared to 2.82 g\/t in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold production was slightly lower year-on-year mainly due to a 2% decrease in tonnes treated due to a shutdown overrun and equipment availability issues, partly offset by higher open pit recovered grades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Total cash cost<sup>APM<\/sup> per ounce increased by 23%, mainly due to higher operating costs resulting from higher consumable and mining costs, higher gold royalties resulting from the higher gold price and lower gold production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Priorities 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0715d9895fba5dece4973fdc40a90eb3\">Operations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At <strong>Obuasi<\/strong> the ramp up will continue, with an ongoing focus on building development capacity, completion of the underground workshop and additional tele-remote equipment to augment material handling capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At <strong>Siguiri<\/strong>, development of the Block 3 mining area has been approved and permitting was nearing completion in the first half of 2026. Access road construction is underway. Remediation work on the TSF will continue, following the seepage event in the second half of 2025. In parallel, a feasibility study on a new tailings dam will be completed. Work to upgrade the gravity circuit in the processing plant is expected to begin late in the first half of 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At <strong>Geita<\/strong>, exploration targeting 60% growth in the Mineral Reserve will continue alongside a detailed feasibility study on a processing plant expansion to underpin a lift in production to ~600,000oz a year for at least a decade. The study is expected to be completed in 2027<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At <strong>Sukari<\/strong>, design work was underway in early 2026 on stage seven of TSF 2.
